Mini-camping and a Latin lesson
The Labor Day party was much fun. It turned into sort of a block party. Lots of people, tons of food, good music, tents set up all over the back yard, DJ booth, drunken people singing, Jell-O shots, beer, liquor, dancing, bonfire, and general debauchery.
I brought my tent, air mattress, pillows, sheet, blanket, toothbrush, change of clothes, and other supplies because the intention was that we were going to camp out in the back yard. Once we got there, we weren't sure if that was going to happen because it looked like it was going to rain.
After enjoying way too many drinks, it became apparent that rain or no rain, we were staying. John and I set up the tent in the dark. I don't recommend this, btw. Luckily, I'd just set it up a couple of days prior, so the process was still very fresh in my mind.
So, he and I went to bed. Do you call it going to bed when there's no bed? Hmm. Anyway, shortly after we settled into our tent, my sister comes to the tent-door with a very bright flashlight and proclaims, "I need help. Come help me put up my tent."
*sigh*
So, I got up, got dressed, and helped her set up her tent. I went back to my tent. We were cuddling nicely... and here she came again. It was a little torturous for us both after the 4th or 5th time. Eventually, she fell asleep and all was well and yadda yadda.
The next morning this is how our conversation went.
Me - "Do you know what we had last night?"
Him - "What's that?"
Me - "Coitus interruptus."
I crack myself up!
